Workshop: Built to Thrive- Values-Driven Financial Management for Entrepreneurs
2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Led by Siri Amrit S. Khalsa

When we start towards our vision with impact in mind, we often leave finances as an afterthought. Without an intentional approach, the work can get messy and chaotic, leading to fear or avoidance. This workshop supports you to find the middle path of value-driven financial management in order to thrive in your mission. You can't know the future, but if you are stable, consistent, and know what to pay attention to, you can grow with confidence and be agile when challenges and opportunities come your way. With three basic tenets and a guided exercise in value-driven financial management practices, you will leave with tools to move forward on your journey.

Workshop: Introduction to Dare to Lead, based on the work of Brené Brown
4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
Led by Christine Maassen

What does it take to succeed as a leader in today’s VUCA environment? Being repeatedly told by senior leaders that we need braver leaders and more courageous cultures is what fueled a decade of Brené Brown’s research. The outcome, captured in her recent book, Dare to Lead, demonstrates that courage is a collection of four skill sets—vulnerability, clarity of values, trust, and rising—that can be taught, developed, learned, and measured. Let’s take a closer look at those skill sets and how they relate to your own leadership journey. You will be invited to create your own Call to Courage.

Optional Movement Session: Yin Yoga
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Led by Danielle Hoogenboom

This offering with Danielle Hoogenboom is for all levels and interests, and is easy, effective and efficient and curated specially for the SVI Family. Danielle Hoogenboom Danielle Hoogenboom has been teaching yoga for over a decade, leading plant based retreats and cultivating creative productions all over the world. Centering in Body, Heart, & Mind, Led by Bettina Rothe
8:00 am - 8:45 am

Living in these uncertain times requires presence: more presence equals more life – and more enjoyment of life, even when challenges arise. Presence means being at home in ourselves, being here, not only in contact with our sensory experience, but fully aware of the task at hand and who we are with. Presence means inhabiting our body, heart, and mind, inhabiting our space, inhabiting our actions and inhabiting our life. Start your day feeling more grounded, focused and present! This is a movement based session that draws on a variety of embodiment and mindfulness practices.

Workshop: Agile Strategy, Planning Your Work When You Don't Know What's Coming
1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
Led by Mike Rowlands

Leading a venture has never been easy, and it's only getting more challenging as the business community faces up to complex social and environmental challenges. Traditional approaches to strategy no longer work, and plans aren't effective if they end up as artifacts on dusty hard drives! Today, they must be living documents, grounded in values, that empower leaders and support the ongoing growth and development of the organization. So how do you build an effective strategy? And how do you translate ideas into impact? In this session Mike Rowlands will share insights into Junxion's Turning Point™ approach, which blends Agile methodologies, Appreciative Inquiry, stakeholder engagement and systems thinking in an integrated model that's been implemented by many SVI alumni in their ventures—and that's helping them weather the current COVID-19 health, economic, and societal crises.

Workshop: Collaborative Ways of Decision-Making that Leverages In-house Knowledge
2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Led by P. Leonie Smith

Much of the pain of group decision-making happens when people choose silence to avoid conflict and when there isn’t enough clarity to support efficiency and surface motivation. What if it could be different? What if you could tap into the flow and effectiveness of synergy—coming together as a team with a shared purpose. Whether you are moving offices or considering new ventures, in this session, you will learn and practice a decision-making process that welcomes relevant voices and generates clear criteria to support your project’s success.

Workshop: Understanding and Reframing Your Money Stresses
4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
Led by Karen McAllister

How do you stay calm and work beyond a state of survival when COVID-19 has impacted your income? Whether you are in the start-up stage, second stage growth, or a budding entrepreneur, many of us are losing sleep worrying about money. We haven’t been educated on how to manage our emotional and psychological states around money, and much of our learned behaviour is unconscious. In this workshop, we will look at how the scarcity mindset is built through using archetypes and will give you strategies and tools to deal with mindsets of scarcity and fear.

2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Led by Shannon Emmerson

Whether we know it or not, our brands are telling a story right now. On our websites, in our blog and social media posts, in our sales campaigns, and pitch decks, we’re saying something about who we are and what we stand for. Now that the world has changed, we need to ask ourselves: is this really what we want to be communicating about ourselves now? In this workshop we’ll look at several up-to-the-minute examples of how brands and leaders are shifting and adapting to tell human and timely stories to their audiences, offering insights and examples of how you, too, can adjust.
