SVI Vancouver takes the core SVI model and packs it into three days of learning from experts, peer networking and business case study problem solving to equip attendees with new skills to build thriving sustainable enterprises. Each morning’s agenda begins with a Case Study, a core of the Social Venture Institute model and are where some of the greatest learning happens. Selected participants give a brief description of a business challenge and answer follow-up questions from a panel of experts. Time is also given over the audience to weigh in.
Afternoons focus on timely topics for group sessions, one-on-one consultation with experts and delving into skill building in high impact workshops.
Evenings are energized with our True Confessions speakers — leaders in the social innovation business space — who bring their lived experiences of the ups and downs on the journey to entrepreneurial success.
Case Studies are central to Hollyhock’s Social Change Institute model and where some of the greatest learning happens. They are an opportunity for organizations to share a key challenge with a panel of experts and the gathering as a whole for constructive feedback, advice and direction.
Every morning we feature a Case Study. Presenters describe their entrepreneurial challenge and answer follow-up questions from a panel of experts, then the audience. Reflection and advice are then given about leading a social venture business, while the presenter listens silently. Both experts and audience provide practical and personal insight. Most of us in the room learn alongside our courageous entrepreneur, who opens up the rarely revealed inside story.
Here is where we would put a description of what this is, where it is, what to bring, etc.
This is your opportunity to share in front of the entire group. These fast paced two-minute presentations allow you to share inspiring news about your business. This is your chance to pitch an idea or make that ask for what you really need. What have you come to Social Venture Institute to raise awareness about?
