Social Change Institute Application

Social Change Institute Vancouver (SCI) attracts leaders from across the continent who are looking to build capacity, develop inner leadership skills and rejuvenate. Non-profit leaders, social mission entrepreneurs and accomplished professionals and advisors from across diverse sectors are attracted to this conference which works to offer participants both skills development and time to create a new vision for their social change work. This year's conference takes place at Hollyhock on Cortes Island June 20th - 24th, 2018. For the 2018 conference, all participants apply to attend as part of a pre-approval process. These community commitments guide the approval process: 1. The SCI agenda focuses on strengthening and supporting individuals across social change sectors working to quicken the pace of their own professional development, promote organizational effectiveness, and support emerging social change. 2. Hollyhock's Social Change Institute is committed to supporting access to both its island campus and satellite conferences among diverse communities across gender, race, and socio-economic status. It's in your best interest to share as much as you can about yourself, your work, the communities you serve through your social change work and why you want to attend Social Change Institute. We anticipate receiving more applications than spots available. Returning alumni are invited to apply through the same channels as new applicants. Once you've submitted your application, a confirmation email will be sent to you right away, letting you know when you can next expect to hear from the producer team. You will want to block off the conference dates on your calendar: June 20th - 24th, 2018. If you have any questions, please email sci@hollyhock.ca. We look forward to connecting with you!

The Hollyhock Scholarship Fund exists to provide support to individuals who require assistance to participate in a Hollyhock program. All applications are reviewed and considered. Priority is given to those who demonstrate financial need, diversity, have not received a Hollyhock scholarship within the past two years, and articulate how they will bring what they learn in their Hollyhock educational program back to their homes, workplaces and communities.
